Federal Government has promised to collaborate with both individual and private industries towards realizing the goal of achieving food sufficiency.
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh stated this while inaugurating an electrical machinery company in Osogbo.
Chief Ogbeh said the present administration had embarked on several programmes to ensure the sector improved, urging Nigerians especially youths to go back to farming.
According to him, the industry had shown through its various products that the country still has the hope of becoming exporter of a number of agricultural products
Earlier, owner of the industry, Mr Biola Abe, who said the machines were ready for use in Nigeria and also for export to other African countries, expressed hope that the Federal Government would provide help.
The event had in attendance the Owamiran of Esa-Oke and Ajero of Ijero Ekiti among others.
