Leaders and Chieftains of the Pan Yoruba social political group, Afenifere have converged on Akure, the Ondo state capital to reject introduction of cattle colonies and demand restructuring of the country before the 2019 general election.
The meeting which is holding at the residence of Afenifere National leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, is being attended by Chief Olu Falae, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Basorun Sehinde Arogbofa, Chief Mojisola Akinfenwa Professor Banji Akintoye, Chief Segun Adegoke and the President of Okun people in Kogi state, Olorunfemi Mokikan.
Other Afenifere Chieftains in attendance included former Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Former governor Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and former kwara governor and ex- minister of communication, Chief Cornelius Adebayo.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Adebanjo called on all Yoruba people to unite against the cattle colonies and need for restructuring irrespective of their political or religious affiliation.
Our correspondent reports that representatives of Yorubas from Kogi, Kwara and the six states in the south west zone are making presentations at the meeting.
