Ogun State Government has reaffirmed its determination to support of professionals in the creative and entertainment industry for the socio-economic development of the country.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun stated this in Abeokuta while receiving members of the Directors Guild of Nigeria led by its president, Mr Fred Amata.
Governor Amosun, who noted that the entertainment industry played significant roles, especially in the contributions to the nation’s gross domestic product, stressed the need for government at all levels to key into the sector.
He gave assurance that his administration would ensure the timely completion of the film village and also museum across the three senatorial districts of the state.
Governor Amosun also noted that the present administration would continue to create an enabling environment for various business initiatives to succeed towards the overall development of the economy.
Earlier, the President , Directors Guild of Nigeria, Mr Fred Amata described the state as a film city of Africa and appreciated the government for creating infrastructure that had continued to attract investors.
