Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Salaam has commiserated with the family, Oyo State Government and Oyo State House of Assembly over the death of its Speaker, Mr. Michael Adeyemo who passed on this morning.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Goke Butika, Dr. Salaam, said the death of Oyo Speaker was shocking and devastating; noting that the 47 year old Lanlate, Oyo state born politician was a great man who peacefully and harmoniously held Oyo State House
of Assembly.

Dr. Salaam described the late Speaker as a kind hearted man with good nature who led a life of service to humanity.

Dr. Salaam prayed God to grant the family, members of Oyo State House of Assembly and Oyo State Government the fortitude to bear the loss.

Similarly, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Oyo State Council has expressed shock over the sudden death of the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Michael Adeyemo.

The NUJ in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Comrades Adewumi Faniran and Bola Ogunlayi says it is particularly disturbed with the death of the speaker at his prime going by the current clamour for power shift to the youths from the older generation.

The Union commiserates with Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, all members of the State House of Assembly, the immediate family and the parents of the late Speaker.

The NUJ, which also commiserates with the entire people of Ibarapa area of the state and Oyo State in general, pray God to grant the children and parents of Honourable Adeyemo the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
