Chief Akande urged politicians to desist from playing politics with religion, noting that unnecessary emphasis on religion and ethnicity rather than competency was seriously affecting governance in the country.
On his part, Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola said Nigerians must be more committed to the unity of the Nation, stressing that there is strength in unity.
He added that the present administration would continue to promote religious harmony in the state by giving religious organizations equal opportunity.
