Young politicians in Osun State have expressed the readiness to occupy the center stage of governance.
The people who are card carrying members of various political parties in the state, including Chief Daniel Bankole -Afilaka, Mr Babatunde Loye and Mr Akinyemi Apara said the era when the youth were regarded to as bench warmers was over.
Chief Bankole Afilaka who described the worst form of democracy as better than the best military regime, encouraged the youth to come out from their shells and take their destinies in their hands by actively participating in politics.
Speaking on the significance of the day, another politician, Mr Loye noted that Nigerian youths laid Economic foundation that earned the country international recognition and accolades as the giant of Africa in the late sixties, stressing the need for the elders to repose confidence in them to reposition the Nation.
Also contributing, a party stalwart, Mr Apara called on the citizens, especially, the younger generation to make protection of the territorial integrity and the country’s image a duty through their actions, emphasizing the need for attitudinal change among them to convince the world that they had come of age.
