Bye-Election in Ibarapa Holding Peacefully

The bye election in Ibarapa East State Constituency, Oyo State House of Assembly holds peacefully.

The exercise which started at 8 o’clock in the morning is experiencing large turnout of voters in Eruwa, Lanlate and Maya communities.










The National Commissioner, INEC, Mr Adedeji Soyebi and Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mr. Mutiu Agboke who are monitoring the exercise, commended the citizens for the conduct.










Olukunle Adeyemo of APC is the Younger brother to Late Lawmaker from the constituency, Mr Michael Adeyemo while PDP candidate, Mr. Adebo Ogundoyin is the son of late Adeseun Ogundoyin.

The seat became vacant due to the sudden death of Mr Michael Adeyemo on April 27 this year.

Voters waited patiently at the various polling units monitoring their votes.

Security Agencies are fully on ground to ensure peace. Seven political parties are contesting the election.
