Road users along New Garage, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan experienced heavy traffic earlier on Friday as a tanker containing diesel fell down on the road.

Principal Fire Superintendent, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Olumide Ajibade said the incident occurred very early in the morning though no casualty was recorded.

Mr. Ajibade said combined efforts of security operatives prevented the tanker from exploding.

A witness told Radio Nigeria that nobody could ascertain the cause of the accident.

Meanwhile, some residents used the opportunity to scoop diesel as at the time of filing this report.

Efforts are ongoing to remove the tanker from the scene to ease movement of cars and people.
