The Chief Imam, Ansar-Ud-deen Central Mosque, Abeokuta, Alhaji Yinus Odekunle wants leaders to take necessary steps towards bringing an end to the incessant killings and bloodshed in some parts of the country.
Alhaji Odekunle made the appeal at a Jumat Service to commemorate the 15th anniversary celebration of Paramount FM, Abeokuta.
The cleric who lamented the adverse effect of the act on the Nation’s socio-economic development, enjoined Nigerians to embrace tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Alhaji Odekunle equally urged the electorate to collaborate with the relevant stakeholders towards ensuring peaceful conduct of the next year’s general elections.
While commending the management and staff of Paramount FM for good content and quality programmes broadcast, the cleric urged the station to remain at the vanguard of the truth at all times.
In a remark, the Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello gave the assurance that Radio Nigeria would continue to dish out programmes that would uplift the people and unite the Nation.
In an address, the General Manager, Paramount FM, Alhaji Adeniyi Odekunle prayed God to continue to protect members of staff and sustain the station.
