Nigerians have been urged to work towards national unity and desist from hate speeches.
Former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo stated this while delivering a lecture organised by medical students of the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.
Speaking on the topic “Challenges of Ethics in National Development”, Chief Obasanjo said standard of behaviour guided by ethics would foster natural unity and development in all sectors of Nigeria.
While condemning the spate of corruption in the country, the former president urged the medical practitioners, religious and traditional rulers in the country to uphold morality in their dealings.
Chairman of the forum, Emeritus Professor Oladipupo Akinkugbe urged the medical students to expand their frontier of knowledge to cover ethics and morality.
