Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State wants a larger percentage of corps members deployed to the state to serve in public secondary schools across the state.
The governor stated this while declaring open the swearing-in ceremony of the Batch C, Stream 2 Corps Members, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ikare Akoko.
Represented by the Commissioner, Youth Development and Sports, Mr. Saka Ogunleye, Governor Akeredolu explained education was the greatest investment the state had, hence the need for corps members to contribute their quota by teaching the students.
He urged the corps members to maintain discipline and decorum in the orientation camp.
In a remark, the NYSC Coordinator in Ondo State, Mrs. Grace Akpabio disclosed that a total number of 1,588 Corps Members reported to camp as the close of registration.
Oath of allegiance was administered on the corps members by Justice David Kolawole who represented the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Oluwatoyin Akeredolu.
