There is the need for Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of peaceful co-existence to achieve the desired development in the country.
Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi stated this at the Maulud Nabiyy Celebration held at the Remembrance Arcade, Government house, Ibadan.
Governor Ajimobi said his administration initiated the celebration of Maulud Nabiyy in the state in recognition of the significance and legacy of Prophet Mohammed.
The Governor noted that it was only in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility that Nigeria could make progress and move to a greater height.
In a sermon, prominent Islamic Scholar, Sheihk Muyindeen Bello called on Muslims to imbibe the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed by living peacefully with everyone.
The Maulid Nabiyy celebration in the state featured recitation of the Holy Qu’ran, as well as special prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Ajimobi.
