Peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate in Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde has promised that his government would not cede land in any part of the state for ranching being clamoured for in some quarters if voted in.
Mr Makinde stated this in Eruwa when he paid homage to the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola and other traditional rulers in Ibarapa East area of the state.
The PDP governorship candidate, while reiterating that he was in the race to bring development to the nooks and crannies of the state, maintained that he would not sign any certificate of occupancy for ranching to deprive the right of the people.
His words “There is no land in Oyo State that will be allocated for ranching. Whoever that wants to embrace ranching should buy land for the purpose”.
The PDP governorship hopeful pledged to create jobs and tackle poverty head-on in the state .
In a remark, Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Adegbola, who noted that most politicians did not always fulfill electioneering processes, explained that ninety percent of Nigeria problems could have been solved with infrastructural development.
Oba Adegbola equally enjoined the nation’s politicians to shun thuggery in the coming election for the betterment of the country.
He said :”As politicians, it is not until when you engage in thuggery and hooliganism before you can get there. we thank God for the relative peace in the state “.
The PDP governorship candidate later addressed hundreds of party supporters at a rally held in front of the Eruwa town hall.
