The Ondo State Government says it is proactively addressing insecurity with a view to creating conducive environment for investors across the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Administration and Policy Planning, Mr. Jones Ogunmusire stated this in Akure during a news conference on a proposed security summit in the state.
Mr. Ogunmusire, who is also the Chairman, Planning Committee, explained that the summit was to further tackle security challenges in the state so that the efforts of the state government to attract investors would not be in vain.
He blamed the security challenges on geographical location of the state which encouraged suspected criminals from neighbouring states to move into the state and carry out their nefarious activities.
Mr. Ogunmusire added that the summit which takes place later this week would have about five hundred security experts, to brainstorm on ways of boosting security in the state.
