Some Trader Moni beneficiaries at Oja Oba, Sagamu and Iperu both in Ogun State want the collateral and interest free loan by the Bank of Industry to be sustained in the interest of the common people.
Beneficiaries of the disbursement of the ten thousand naira loans held at markets in the two towns, called for the expansion of the Government Enterprises and Empowerment Programme to accommodate more traders.
Some of the beneficiaries could not hide their joy when they were presented with the ten thousand naira loan after they received text messages of the presentation of the account.
While the disbursement of the loan by officials of the programme was ongoing, while some of the officials were also on hand to attend to issues affecting some of the market men and women from accessing the loans.
Some of the issues raised include loss of phone numbers and multiple use of one line for registration to access the loan among others.
During the disbursement programme at Oja Oba, Sagamu, officials of the scheme advised the market men and women to comply with the rules guiding the loan to enable them move up the ladder of the loan which include six months repayment period.
The traders were also enlightened that the money was not for political purpose.
