Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has encouraged the Yoruba race to support the present administration in all its endeavors.
He stated this at a PAN Yoruba Summit, held at International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
Professor Osinbajo who maintained that the race had always been in the opposition over the years, noted that the present administration had given adequate priority to the people of Southwest with the huge numbers of Yorubas including the Vice President serving under the government.
He stated that if the region aligned with the center government, many benefits would yield rapid regional growth and development would be attracted.
In a remark, Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi in a message through the Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo, said in line with the theme of the event “Restructuring need to be accorded adequate priority”, the summit was designed to move the national conversation on political restructuring forward in the run up to the 2019 Elections.
Representatives of Southwest governors, traditional and community leaders attended the event which was climaxed with endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari for second term.
