Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola wants police authorities in the state to expedite action and apprehend those directly or indirectly involved in the razing down of a section of the State High Court in Ilesha.
The governor during an on- the- spot assessment of the razed court in the company of the State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, condemned the act, describing it as barbaric and a major assault on civilisation and the judiciary.
Mr Aregbesola promised that the High Court in Ilesa and others across the state would be given urgent attention in terms of rehabilitation and security.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Mr Fimihan Adeoye said investigation to unraveling those behind the act had commenced.
The police boss said that the court premises had been fortified with security men to forestall any further criminal assault and to maintain law and order in the area.
A section of the court was on Monday set ablaze by yet-to-be-identified persons with lots of vital court documents and books destroyed.
