All is now set for tomorrow’s Osun West Senatorial by-election to choose a senator that will complete the tenure of late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.
Currently, officers of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies are moving along the streets of Ede, Iwo, Ejigbo and other towns in the Senatorial district. Apparently to send signals to those who may want to cause trouble.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olafimihan Adeoye had yesterday, while addressing the police and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, urged them to shun favouritism and be fair to all in the discharge of their duties.
Mr Adeoye assured that officers of the Nigerian Police were fully ready for the by-election, warning those who have nothing to do with the election in the Senatorial District to move away.
Already, accreditation tags and stickers are currently being issued to journalists, who would monitor the by-election.
It would be recalled that INEC had yesterday taken delivery of sensitive material to be used for election to all local governments in the district.
