It was a gathering of who is who, especially in the Labour sector as Mrs. Titilayo Adeyemi, mother of the Deputy President, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Mr. Peters Adeyemi was laid to rest.
Apart from the representatives of NLC, family and friends of late Mrs. Titilayo Adeyemi, members of Non-Academic Staff Union across the country also converged at Daylan Event Centre in gorgeous attires.
In a sermon a Guest Minister from Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Agbowo, Ibadan, Reverend Femi Bamidele urged the congregation to make good use of the opportunity before them and eschew evil as they would give an account of their stewardship on earth.
Speaking on behalf of the children, the NLC Deputy President who is also the National General Secretary of Non Academic Staff Union NASU, Mr. Adeyemi said his mother valued education and had sacrificed all she had to educate her children.
The event also attracted other dignitaries among whom is the NLC President Mr. Ayuba Wabba and other high profile personalities in the country.
Late Mrs. Titilayo Adeyemi who is survived by many children and grand-children died at the age of eighty-eight.
