Pensioners beg Osun Governor on Paris Fund

The Chairman, Ilesa west unit of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Prince Solomon Adedeji has appealed to the Osun State Government to pay their gratuities and pension arrears.

Prince Adedeji who made the call in Ilesa when he led some pensioners on a peaceful protest to the broadcasting house of Radio Nigeria Gold Fm, along Iloko -Ijesa, Ilesa Osun State explained that pensioners who retired in 2011/2012 have not been paid their gratuities while others have been receiving half payment since July 2015
Prince Adedeji said some of the pensioners are not healthy and could not afford to meet their medical needs as a result of lack of fund.
The Pensioners, who alleged that the state government had diverted various bailout funds meant for the payment of salaries in the past appealed to government not to divert the just released six point three billion naira, second tranche of the Paris – club refund by the Federal Government.
