Twelve persons have been arrested and paraded by the Nigeria Police, Osun State Command for various crimes ranging from cultism to unlawful possession of firearms.
Five of them were arrested for being in possession of fake currencies, four arrested for cult-related activities and unlawfully being in possession of firearms while one was arrested for being in possession of human parts.
The one in possession of human parts who is 50 years-old, Adeyeye Adeniyi was arrested in Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State claimed that the skull belonged to one of his former tenants.
Also paraded were a 40-year-old herbalist, Babatunde Awolola and his 25-year-old accomplice, Ademola Titilola for being in possession of two human palms, and had confessed to the police that they only served as middle men.
The State police Commissioner, Mr Olafimihan Adeoye expressed worry about the disturbing trend of human part dealership for money ritual.
He appealed to parents and guardians to ensure proper monitoring of their children to avoid their falling victims.
Mr Adeoye assured that all the suspects would soon be charged to court upon conclusion of Police Investigations.
