Reactions have continued to trail the adoption of Ekiti State Deputy- Governor, Professor Kolapo Olusola as the sole candidate of the PDP for the 2018 Governorship poll in the state.
In his reaction, another PDP aspirant, Professor Adesegun Ojo rejected the adoption. Professor Ojo said some PDP stakeholders who adopted the Deputy Governor had no regard for the rule of law, the constitution of the PDP and internal democracy that guides party politics and nomination process.
He called on the national leadership of the party, to look into the crisis that the adoption might lead to.
The PDP chieftain also advised traditional and other opinion leaders in Ekiti- state to resist any attempt to drag them into politics.
A statement signed by his Director, social Media, Mr Olu Akinyemi appeals to Professor Ojo’s supporters and other members of the public to ignore the adoption of Professor Olusola as PDP sole candidate.
Other PDP Aspirants including, the national Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, former Nigerian Ambassador to Canada, Dare Bejide, the immediate past Commissioner for Justice and State Attorney General, Mr Owoseeni Ajayi and the Senate Minority Leader, senator Abiodun Olujimi have earlier rejected the adoption.
