Five people have been presumed dead in a multiple accident involving sixteen vehicles at Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Clement Oladele who made this known to Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta said nineteen persons were injured in the crash.

Mr Oladele who explained that the incident occurred around six ó clock in the morning on Thursday said eight long vehicles, one mini truck, four buses and three cars with fifty three individuals were involved in the crash.

The FRSC Sector Commander explained that officials of the corps worked in partnership with other relevant agencies to carry out rescue operations at the scene, while injured persons had been taken to emergency centers.
