Moribodo College Ilutitun Osooro has won the Okitipupa Local Government zone 2017 Principals’ Cup.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, Coach of the winning school, Mr. kunle Akingbulu submitted that the team started the first match in a series beating Ikoya Grammar School team by a lone goal, scored by Iwaeni Sunday.
Moribodo also edged out Manuwa Memorial Grammar School boys, Iju Odo from the competition at the second round stage with a lone.
The third match Moribodo College was a tough contest against the Igbotako Community Grammar school, which ended goalless at the stoppage time after a goal by Moribodo team was controversially disallowed.
The round was decided by penalty shootout with the Moribodo team’s shot stopper, Ilukoyenikan Taiwo parring two of the penalties to win the round for his team.
Having qualified from the Osooro axis, Moribodo team squared it up against Danikin High School Ode Aye.
The match was played in Okitipupa Government field, and Moribodo College won the match three goals against Danikin High School.
To decide the winner of the local government zone, the grand finale Moribodo College Ilutitun slugged it out against Methodist High School, Okitipupa which ended in a lone goal scored by Seun Onukun.
The Moribodo College would fly the flag of Okitipupa Local Government as the competition progresses to the state level.
