Schools Reopen in Ekiti

Public and private schools in Ekiti State today resumed after three weeks holiday.

Pupils and Students were seen very early in the morning going to their various schools.

Radio Nigeria correspondent who visited some schools in Ado Ekiti, the state capital reports that the students were tiding up their environments under the supervision of their teachers.

Some teachers including Mr Rotimi Ajayi, Mrs Bukola Ogundele and Adebayo said academic activities would start tomorrow, urging parents not to keep their children and wards at home.

Also, few pupils who were interviewed expressed happiness that they resumed today after enjoying themselves during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Attendance was encouraging in all the schools visited in Adebayo Area, Afao Road, Dallimore, Okesa and Ikere Road, all in Ado Ekiti.
