Ogun State flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 gubernatorial elections, Prince Gboyega Isiaka has resigned his membership of the party.

In a letter to the Ogun State Chairman of the party through the Imeko-Afon ward Chairman, Prince Isiaka stated that his decision to leave the party became necessary to enable him to chart a new course for his political aspirations.

The former PDP governorship candidate noted that the perennial challenges confronting the party were proving to be intractable, leaving him with no other choice but to leave the fold in the interest of his political career.

Prince Isiaka who recounted the opportunities and privileges he had enjoyed on the platform of PDP, lamented that the party had failed to close ranks and bring back its glorious days after two successive electoral losses.

He expressed appreciation to the National Chairman of the PDP as well as members promising to maintain cordial relationship with those he had cause to associate with over the years.
