A civil servant, Sola Adedeji who lives at Alase Moniya, Ibadan has appeared before a customary court situated at Akinyele Local Government Council, Moniya, Ibadan over non-payment of his accumulated house rent.

The plaintiff who is the caretaker of his rented flat, Mr. Isaac Ogunniyi told the court that Sola Adedeji refused to fill a form earlier served him to comply with all rules and regulations when he (caretaker) newly took over from the landlord and refused to pay his accumulated bill of one hundred and eighty-one thousand naira.

In his own reaction, the defendant, Sola Adedeji said the landlord did not increase the house rent as claimed by the agent, although he pleaded to be given more time to pay as he had paid 50, 000 naira last year to the landlord, the money meant for 2016.

He claimed that irregular payment of his salary caused the irregularities.

In his ruling, the president of the customary court, Chief Sulaimon Ipaye urged the caretaker, Mr. Isaac Ogunniyi to be patient with his customer Sola Adedeji as he was a civil servant who has it in mind to pay his debt.
