Fire has again wrecked havoc in the ancient city of Ilesa destroying a storey building at Oke-Ese.
An eye witness account says occupants of the building had left for their places of work when the fire allegedly caused by high electricity voltage occurred ravaging the whole structure.
One of the sympathizers, Mr Adekunle Saliu who spoke with Gold Fm blamed the incident on power surge and lateness, on the part of the fire service to respond to distress call by residents.
Mr. Saliu regretted that efforts of the sympathizers to salvage some of the property in the building were unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.
Reacting, an Officer of the Fire Service, Mr Rasheed blamed their late response on obstruction caused by sellers of various wares at Atakumosa market who displayed their goods on the road obstructing traffic.
