As more facts emerge on the crisis rocking the Ilogbo Ekiti, government has appealed to the people of the area to embrace peace and shun acts of violence.
Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi made the appeal at a meeting held with traditional Chiefs from Ilogbo Ekiti.
Otunba Egbeyemi advised the Chiefs of Ilogbo Ekiti to appeal to youths in the community to sheath their swords and work for the development of the town.
Earlier, some of High Chiefs and youths of Ilogbo who attended the meeting accused the monarch of high-handedness, poor attitude to corrections, aiding and abetting cultism among others.
In their remarks, the Olora of Ora Ekiti, Oba Peter Daramola, Olusi of Usi Ekiti, Oba Adedayo Akande and Alayetoro of Ayetoro Ekiti, Oba Olufisan Ajayi appealed to Chiefs of Ilogbo Ekiti to embrace peace and support their king in the interest of development.
In his comments, the Olulogbo of Ilogbo Ekiti, Oba Edward Ajayi however expressed shock at the allegations leveled against him, saying that efforts he put up to resolve the crisis rocking the town was not successful because the Chiefs failed to cooperate with him.
