Ogun: Monarch Advocates Development of Owode-Yewa Town

Sons and Daughters of Owode-Yewa in Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State at home and diaspora have been enjoined to collaborate to develop the town.

The traditional ruler of the community, Oba Mathew Akindele, made the call at the 2019 Owode Yewa Day celebrations.

The Monarch appealed to government to assist the community to address its numerous challenges like dilapidated roads, inadequate and poorly furnished schools and health facilities.

The Chairman of the planning committee, Pastor Dr Dele Adeyemi reminded the gathering of the challenges facing the community and the efforts made so far.

The 2019 Owode-Yewa Day celebration featured among others, a fundraising for an ultramodern palace for the monarch, presentation of merit award to deserving indigenes and cultural display from different quarters of the town.
