It was a carnival-like as the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, took its campaign to Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo state ahead of the March 2 Governorship and House of Assembly polls.
The campaign which began at Ikolaba caused gridlock around Agodi-Gate, Oje and Oja’gbo as many supporters of PDP trooped out to witness the rally.
Speaking with newsmen at the end of the rally, Oyo State chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha said the PDP was a party to beat in the coming polls.
Alhaji Mustapha maintained that the party’s presidential and governorship candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Seyi Makinde would record success in February 16 and March 2 polls with a wide margin.
The PDP chairman who noted that the party was gaining popularity on a daily basis assured electorate of good governance.
On the chances of the party in Oke-Ogun zone, Alhaji Mustapha said the tide has changed from what it was in 2015.
