Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has pledged continued support to Federal and State governments’ media agencies to enhance their effectiveness in the society.
Governor Amosun gave the assurance while hosting the executive members of the State Chapter of Radio, Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU at his office in Abeokuta.
The governor, who acknowledged the importance of the media to socio-economic development of the state as well as its role in governing, described the media in Ogun State as exceptional.
Acting Chairman, RATTAWU, Comrade Adewole Bamgbose had earlier appreciated the governor for supporting the media agencies and urged him to do more.
RATTAWU has members from both the Federal and State owned agencies including NTA, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, OGTV, OGBC and Ministry of Arts and Culture
