Over forty five billion naira have been expended on state owned tertiary institutions in Oyo State in the last seven years.
This was disclosed by the state Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi at the inauguration of the newly constructed Oba Adebiyi Model School Two, Mokola, Ibadan.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Ajimobi noted that the outgoing administration had on yearly basis spent over six billion naira on stated owned tertiary institutions in the state in a bid to provide quality access to tertiary education.
Governor Ajimobi explained that it was part of these efforts that led to the upgrading of some satellite campuses to full fledged polytechnics across the state.
Similarly, Governor Ajimobi has inaugurated two newly constructed roads in Ibadan.
They are Ijokodo-Apete road which has been renamed Ambassador Olusaanu road and Challenge-New Garage road which has also been rechristened Lam Adesina road.
