A member of the House of Representatives for Iwajowa, Iseyin, Itesiwaju and Kajola, Federal Constituency, Mr. Shina Peller has assured governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state of his readiness to partner him in the task of developing the state.
He stated this in Ibadan during a courtesy visit to the governor in his office.
Mr. Peller said his visit was to inform the governor about the erosion that had wreaked havoc in Iwajowa local government with a view to assisting the victims.
He implored governor Makinde to reach out to the office of the Ecological Funds and National Emergency Management Agency on the development so as to provide relief materials for the victims.
The lawmaker, who is an APC member, said that the welfare of his people was paramount and pledged his commitment to work with governor Makinde for the overall development of the state.
Responding, governor Makinde commended Mr. Peller for the visit without minding the fact that he is from another political party.
He promised to take drastic measure in addressing the problem of erosion in the affected area and other parts of the state.
